MR All Night Long Lionel Richie will join The Voice John Farnham for a national tour in March 2014.
Soul fanatic Farnham, who has enjoyed sold-out runs with double-handed shows featuring Olivia Newton-John, Tom Jones and Stevie Nicks, said co-headlining a tour with the evergreen Richie had topped his wishlist for several years.
"You never think these dreams will actually come true," he said.
Richie, who scored rave reviews for his 2011 winery and arena shows, joined in the musical bromance and said he was well aware of Farnham's talent.
"He pours his heart into a ballad and gives everything to an anthem," he said.
Farnham has been rumoured to be in negotiations to sit in one of the red chairs for The Voice next year despite stating he wasn't a fan of the television talent quests.
The March tour dates would land just before the traditional start of the live shows.
It has been 12 years since Farnham declared he was finished with marathon concert runs with The Last Time tour.
He has headed back out for shows every few years since then, playing with orchestras in 2006 and the Live By Demand tour in 2009.
The national treasure commemorated the 25th anniversary of his Whispering Jack album with another run of shows in 2011.
It is believed the pair will perform separate sets for the tour rather than share the stage.
Tickets will go on sale on November 29.
