RAPPER Chris Brown’s controversial tour Down Under has been cancelled.
A statement was released by Ticketek this morning saying that the 26-year-old would no longer be coming to Australia and New Zealand this month.
It is believed he was unable to overturn the Australian Government’s decision to not grant him a visa due to his history of domestic violence.
In the statement, Ticketek Australia said Brown remained positive the tour could be rescheduled.
“Chris Brown’s December 2015 tour in both Australia and New Zealand will not take place,” the statement read.
“The shows scheduled at Perth Arena on 9 December, Rod Laver Arena on 12 December, Allphones Arena on 14 December and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on 16 December are cancelled.
“Mr Brown and the promoters both remain positive that the tour will take place in the near future. Mr Brown wishes to express his deepest gratitude to the fans for their support and looks forward to a successful tour in the near future.”
The Federal Government originally declined his visa application in September, but tickets remained on sale as Brown and the promoters believed he would still be able to come.
