Ryan Reynolds under fire over young daughter’s sexually explicit line in Deadpool & Wolverine

Ryan Reynolds has been slammed online for his daughter’s sexually explicit line in Deadpool & Wolverine after an altered script was unearthed.

Deadpool conspiracy goes viral amid Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively feud

Ryan Reynolds is getting ripped apart for having his young daughter Inez deliver a sexually explicit line in Deadpool and Wolverine.

Her character, Kidpool, reportedly tells Deadpool in the superhero film, “Hey, when I want your opinion, I’ll take Wolverine’s d**k out of your mouth.”

However, per a script for the movie on Disney.com, the line is slightly altered to, “Hey! When we want your opinion, I’ll take my d**k out of your mouth!”

Page Six has reached out to Disney about the change.

Nicepool, who is a variant of Deadpool, responds in the script, “That’s Kidpool. He’s the dirtiest.”

Inez, who is now 8, was believed to be about 7 years old when she delivered the controversial line.

“There’s no reason she needed to deliver that line herself. It’s a character with a mask and no visible mouth, it could easily have been dubbed over,” one critic wrote on Reddit.

Another person then added in the thread, “Or just remove the line completely. If a comedy writer can’t make an equally funny line that an actor feels comfortable saying maybe they shouldn’t be a writer.”

A third Reddit user, who is a parent, said, “She’s the same age as my kid. I couldn’t imagine ANYTHING that would 1. get me to do this to my kid (or any kid) or 2. would be okay with my husband having done it.”

Page Six has reached out to reps for Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively — who is Inez’s mum — for comment on the backlash but did not immediately hear back.

The Deadpool star, 48, appeared to cringe, though, when discussing the line for a commentary track filmed alongside director Shawn Levy, according to multiple outlets.

“Guiltily, that is my daughter Inez,” Reynolds said. Levy, 56, replied, “I’m so sorry we have to admit that.”

The Red Notice star then shared how his child had been uncomfortable delivering those words.

He said, “I am father of the year over here for allowing her to say such language, which, to her credit, she really didn’t want to say.”

Actor claims Ryan Reynolds had issues with crew on film set

Reynolds pointed out, though, that Inez allegedly had a change of heart while filming and said, “‘I want to say it now’” when he “started looking at other people to play” her character.

Levy said that Inez ended up having to do “70 to 500 versions of that line” — to their “discredit.”

Reynolds, seemingly foreshadowing the criticism he is now receiving, said, “I’m gonna pay for that later.”

Following the film’s release, he praised Inez on Instagram, writing, “Only co-star I argued with. Most people think Kidpool is the dirtiest. But she’s also pretty good at backtalk and never taking out the trash.”

This controversy comes just as the Just Friends star and Lively, 37, are in a scandalous legal battle with Justin Baldoni, in which the married couple is accusing the latter of sexual harassment and other claims.

Baldoni has denied any wrongdoing and is countersuing Reynolds and Lively for defamation and extortion, among other allegations, in a bombshell $US400 million lawsuit.

Lively has maintained that Baldoni, 41, is only suing her as retaliation for speaking out against him, and insists she is being truthful about his alleged inappropriate behaviour while making It Ends With Us. She also claims the director tried to launch a smear campaign against her.

The Gossip Girl star and Reynolds both recently tried to get Baldoni’s countersuit dismissed, which the latter’s lawyer Bryan Freedman slammed as “cowardly” and said they need to be held accountable.

A trial date for the ongoing cases has been scheduled for March 2026.

Lively — who also shares James, 10, Betty, 5 and Olin, 2, with Reynolds — has claimed her children are “traumatised” by the drama with Baldoni.

She claimed in court docs previously obtained by Page Six that the kids were “emotionally uprooted in ways that have substantially impacted their wellbeing.”
