Fellow actor slams Vin Diesel mid-interview

This award-winning actor didn’t take too kindly to being compared to action hero Vin Diesel in a recent interview.

Star calls out Vin Diesel mid-interview

Actor Paul Walter Hauser launched a surprising spray on Vin Diesel in a recent interview, recoiling when the interviewer jokingly compared him to the action star.

Recent Golden Globe winner Hauser was sitting down with outlet CinemaBlend in a press junket for his latest film, Inside Out 2, in which he voices the character “Embarrassment.”

But he had no embarrassment hitting back when the interviewer joked to Hauser that his character’s arc in the animated film means “you’re like Vin Diesel now.”

“Please don’t say that,” he shot back, explaining: “I like to think I am on time and approachable.”

Hauser’s Inside Out 2 co-star Lewis Black reacted with shock as he explained his surprise diss.

“I love people, but when I hear stories about Hollywood actors who get paid really well and mistreat people … I out them constantly, and it’s a blast.”

Ouch. Walter Hauser and Vin Diesel haven’t actually worked together in the past, so perhaps the actor read the reports claiming that Diesel was frequently late to the set of the eighth instalment in the Fast and the Furious franchise, leading to a feud with co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

“There were several times Vin was late to set and it really started p**sing Dwayne and other cast and crew off,” a source told ET at the time.

“Dwayne was always on time for shooting. It was Vin who would often show up when he felt like showing up. Dwayne is the complete opposite.”

“At the end of production Dwayne was really over Vin’s bulls**t,” the source added. “As far as I know, they haven’t spoken since they left set.”

But since then, The Rock hasn’t been without his own accusations of lateness: A report in TMZ last month claimed the actor and co-star Ryan Reynolds allegedly got into a fight while making the Netflix film Red Notice, due to Johnson continually arriving late to set.

The claims didn’t end there: At the same time, a source told the Wrap that Johnson was “seven to eight” hours late each day while working on another film, the forthcoming action-adventure comedy film, Red One.

Johnson “missed several entire days of production, ballooning costs by at least $US50 million according to three insiders who insisted on anonymity for fear of being fired,” per the Wrap.

If those claims are true, sounds like that’s two top action stars Paul Walter Hauser might want to steer clear of.
