Matt Poole announces baby news with new partner Annelyse Oatway

Former Ironman champion Matt Poole and his new partner have announced they are expecting their first child, just days before his ex-fiancee Tammy Hembrow will tie the knot with her new flame.

Former Ironman champion Matt Poole has announced he is expecting his first child with his new partner, Annelyse Oatway.

The news comes just days before his ex-fiancee, fitness influencer Tammy Hembrow, is set to tie the knot with her new partner, reality TV star Matt Zukowski.

Poole, 36, and Oatway took to Instagram on Sunday to share their news with a heartwarming photo featuring the couple embracing, Oatway showing a noticeable baby bump, and Poole’s two-year-old daughter, Posy, who he shares with Hembrow, holding a sonogram image.

The couple captioned the post humorously, writing, “Been cooking a little more than just Matt’s dinner lately. Baby Poole arriving 2025.”

The announcement arrives as Poole prepares to return to the competitive surf circuit after two years in retirement. Reflecting on his decision, Poole noted that time spent with his daughter Posy had inspired him to make a comeback.

Poole’s relationship with Oatway was first made public in May when the couple was spotted departing Gold Coast Airport with Posy to celebrate Poole’s birthday, about 18 months after separating from ex fiance mega influencer Tammy Hembrow.

Poole and Hembrow began dating in 2020, and in June 2022, they welcomed their daughter, Posy.

However, the relationship ended in late 2022, a few months after Posy’s birth.

Meanwhile, Hembrow is set to marry Matt Zukowski, who rose to fame on Love Island Australia, in an intimate ceremony in Byron Bay this month.

The couple’s whirlwind romance saw them engaged in December 2023, just three months after they began dating.
