Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg has been spotted on the Brisbane CBD set of his new film Balls Up on Wednesday morning.

The 52-year-old actor was seen outside Brisbane City Hall, sporting a cozy blue hoodie and electric blue sweatpants.

Later, he changed into a checkered mustard yellow polo shirt and khaki trousers, ready to shoot scenes inside the iconic building.

Balls Up, penned by the writers behind Deadpool, is set to film across both Brisbane and the Gold Coast over the coming weeks.

In the film, Wahlberg and co-star Paul Walter Hauser portray two marketing executives whose reckless antics at a soccer game turn their lives upside-down.

After losing their jobs due to a failed client sponsorship, they become the targets of a nationwide manhunt following a bout of drunken debauchery.

Wahlberg is reportedly staying at the Langham Hotel on the Gold Coast while filming in South East Queensland.

Insiders reveal he’s booked the hotel’s opulent ‘Chairman’s Ocean Suite’, which comes with a jaw-dropping price tag of approximately $4500 per night.

Balls Up is expected to inject $64.8 million into the local economy and employ 250 local cast and crew members.

It joins an impressive roster of productions slated for Queensland this year, including

Ron Howard’s Eden, The Bluff, Good Cop/Bad Cop and Gettin’ Square sequel Spit.

Wahlberg was based in Sydney earlier this year for the filming of Play Dirty alongside Tony Shalhoub, Rosa Salazar, and LaKeith Stanfield.
