JENNIFER Aniston’s Golden Globes after-parties look was a major departure from her usual style. Has she lost it?

THERE are red carpet statements, and then there’s the low key number Jennifer Aniston wore to the Golden Globes yesterday.

It was a vast departure from her normal sense of style, and hasn’t gone unnoticed in the fashion world.

While there’s no doubt the 45-year-old Cake star looked glam in a black, backless Saint Laurent gown, accented with Neil Lane jewellery and a sleek hairdo, it was all a bit ho-hum.

The Friends alum disappointed fashion fans and commentators by sticking to basic black.

Same same ... Jen avoided the traditional wardrobe change before heading to Golden Globe after parties.

Adding to the disappointment, the actress wore the same outfit to the Golden Globe Awards after parties, when most stars take time out and change before making an appearance.

Earlier in the night, Aniston almost suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction while walking from the audience and up on to the stage.

She and actor Benedict Cumberbatch were presenting the first award of the night, Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture, which went to Whiplash’s JK Simmons, when a camera copped a lot of leg.

The night didn’t go Aniston’s way on the awards front either, losing out in the Best Actress in a Drama category for Cake.

It was her first nomination since her Friends win back in 2003.
