Sporting legends, reality stars, comedians, celebrity chefs and more have been unveiled for the latest season of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! See who’s starring.

With the full cast revealed in tonight’s season nine premiere of I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here, here is a full list of everyone competing on the show:

I haven’t actually seen a full episode of the show as it doesn’t air in NZ or USA where I mainly am, so I am going in blind. I think it’s better to go in with no expectations. I did this for Below Deck and it worked great! Makes it more of an adventure.

WHY ‘UNCANCELLABLE’ DICKO IS INTENT ON BEING A ‘TOTAL PIG’

In the case of Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson, it seems the ninth time’s a charm.

The outspoken former record label executive and popular judge on Australian Idol has finally agreed to slog it out in the jungle as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!

“They’ve asked me every year,” Dicko said. “I’ve said no every year. Not to sound too grubby, they’ve finally made an offer that was worthwhile. Plus, I’ll be honest, it has become a bit of a guilty pleasure this show. I tell myself how ridiculous it is but I always end up watching it and I’ve always enjoyed it. The other thing is I really don’t want to go on a TV show and pretend and I don’t need to pretend on this show.”

Dicko spoke to The Sunday Telegraph ahead of cameras rolling on the ninth season of Channel 10’s I’m A Celebrity, which after being grounded in Australia due to Covid, has returned this year to the South African jungle.

Having celebrated his 60th birthday during the week in lockdown pre-filming, the music artist manager is one of 13 celebrities that will be unveiled as the season premieres tonight.

“It wasn’t the birthday I imagined but it was certainly one to remember,” he said.

Dicko was a judge on Australian Idol from 2003 when he was plucked from relative anonymity as a label exec and elevated to national fame. He was also a judge on My Restaurant Rules and Australia’s Got Talent and was hugely popular for his blunt assessment of the realities of the music and entertainment business.

His brutal honesty has however at times landed him in trouble but Dicko has no fear of being cancelled from anything he says or does on I’m A Celebrity.

“I’d forgotten how fun it was sticking my snout in the TV network trough and behaving like a total pig,” he laughed.

“It is good fun. That is a good feeling. Am I worried about being cancelled? Cancelled from what? I don’t do social media. I don’t have a TV show. Cancel away guys. I am virtually uncancellable. You’ve got to have someone with a stake in life to cancel them, I am just doing my own thing.”

Dicko isn’t afraid to be himself.

Being ‘cancelled’ doesn’t phase the former idol judge.

He continued: “People are shockingly offended and I don’t really understand it. People need to grow and apparently an apology is not enough anymore, you have to actually eradicate someone and I don’t understand that. If we are going to remove that process where someone can apologise, understand that the world may have changed and grow from it, then how is the world going to be better? If you just cancel them you are going to just make them someone else’s problem.”

Celebrities will over the coming weeks be put through their paces competing in various physical and mental challenges to secure food rations and make it to the next stage of the reality show with the ultimate aim of winning $100,000 prize money for their chosen charity. For Dicko, that is the Australian Children’s Music Foundation.

The expat Brit father of two has a fear of heights and “creepy-crawlies” but was surprisingly relaxed ahead of hitting the jungle camp.

“I am completely amazed at how happy and content I feel right now,” he said.

“And I think that is stupid because I know that right around the corner is hunger, boredom, social awkwardness, ritual humiliation, degradation and just blind terror. But I actually feel fine with it and I am about to find out if some of these fears I’ve got are real fears or phobias.”

He added: “I am hoping that in a few weeks time this grandad bod turns into a common garden variety dadbod, that would be a win.”
