Hollywood star Alicia Vikander steps out looking ‘unrecognisable’ in first red carpet appearance in almost a year

This couple haven’t been seen together in almost a year, and now fans are claiming to not even have recognised the A-list actress.

Alicia Vikander has left fans baffled with her appearance at an event this week with her Hollywood husband Michael Fassbender.

The couple stepped out at the Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring/Summer 2025 in Paris together.

However, it was Vikander who quickly caught the attention of fans on social media, who were left baffled by her new look.

“If Fassbender wasn’t with her I would have had no idea who she is,” commented one confused fan.

A second commented: “She literally looks unrecognisable,” while another said: “She looks completely different, but also not. I don't understand what I’m looking at”.

“I thought the same,” said another shocked fan on TikTok, with another saying: “Sorry but who is that??”

The couple’s last time out in public together was when they attended dinner before an LV fashion show back in October, and the last time the couple was on a red carpet together was almost exactly a year ago for the premiere of Alicia’s movie Firebrand.

The new take on Henry VIII’s life and his six wives focuses on his final spouse, Katherine Parr, who is named regent while the king battles abroad. When he returns ill and paranoid, and his court works to turn him against Katherine, she finds herself fighting for her survival.

Meanwhile, the Hollywood pair have been in a relationship since 2014, when they met on the set of the movie The Light Between Oceans. They got married in October 2017 and are parents to a son born in 2021.

“I now have a whole new understanding of life in general,” she told People at the time after giving birth. “That’s pretty beautiful and obviously will give a lot to any of my work in the future.”

The following year, Vikander gave more insight into her motherhood experience while also revealing that her and Fassbender’s child is a boy. “He’s learning to walk,” she told Harper’s Bazaar UK. “So, it’s good there’s carpet everywhere.”
