Taylor Swift's Era evolution from country star to global icon

A controversial Christian worship movement leader who campaigned against Covid lockdowns has created a new social media storm by accusing billionaire singer Taylor Swift of being ‘satanic’.

Sean Feucht claimed there was ‘demonic worship’ happening at Taylor Swift concerts and events and evil forces were behind her dramatic rise.

He said 123 million Superbowl fans had watched as US rapper Ice Spice gave what he claimed was the ‘devil’s hand sign’ while Taylor Swift chugged down beer. It comes as images showing the rapper wearing what Feucht claimed was ‘a satanic’ upside down cross went viral.

Others say the cross is a piece designed by Alex Moss based on the Cross of St. Peter, a Catholic symbol representing that apostle’s martyrdom.

Feucht is not the first to target Swift with other Christians taking to social media urging parents to check her out more closely.

US mum Christian Keller was ridiculed by Swift fans after a post where she said: “Taylor Swift is calling herself a witch and doing satanic rituals during her concerts. I would urge those of you who have children or if you know of children who love Taylor Swift and obsess over what she stands for.

“My daughter used to love Taylor and her music, but as I started to monitor and watch her music videos and listen to some of her music, I began noticing that there’s something else.

“I began seeing concerts of her songs with crowds chanting and summoning demons during her concerts, shouting, “come all you demons”.

Critics of Swift cite the Karma video where she appears to be ‘among demons’ dancing in hell before taking off a ‘satanic’ mask.

In an 16 minute video posted to his 500,000 plus followers on Facebook, Feucht said he was ‘blown away’ by the pushback he had received, including from Christians over his Swift criticism. The post sparked more than 3500 comments, mostly in support of him.

Feucht, a father of four, said he was speaking out because he believed parents needed to put ‘guardrails in place’ around who their children idolised.

“It is mind blowing how we have placed someone like this on a pedestal where they are literally idolised in the church.’’

“Guys it’s full blown Satan worship..’’

“It is open for the whole world to see.

“Don’t you think there is a reason why there is a quick rise to the top?’’

“There are people that are channelling those powers and principalities.’’

Feucht said he realised his message was unpopular but said: “You have to say something especially when you see an entire generation getting engulfed in this.’’

‘ANGRY CHICK WHO HATES MEN’

The Let Us Worship’ movement leader is no stranger to controversy, riling abortion, transgender and LGBTIQ supporters with his conservative views.

Even Christians have criticised him, saying rather than condemning Swift he should be praying for her salvation so she can be ‘used for good’ around the world.

Taylor Swift is generally seen as having a ‘more wholesome’ image than other artists.

Feucht said he loved concerts and sport just like anyone else but believed there were ‘far better alternatives and role models than Taylor Swift, who he described as ‘some angry chick that writes about how much she hates men and her break-up stories’.

“I’m not saying that Taylor Swift is the devil. I’m not saying that she is the Antichrist, other people have said that.

“ I’m just saying hey, there’s some gnarly stuff that she’s into and it’s very obvious by the people she hangs around and by what happens at our concerts.”

Swift fans, including Christians, have pointed out she’s a far better role model than many female artists who use their sexuality more to sell themselves.

SWIFTIES HIT BACK ON ‘SATANIC CLAIMS’

Amanda Wheeler Wade Lmt

What in the actual hell?!? Ridiculous! Some people have nothing else to do with their lives than to TRY and bring successful people down. It’s really so sad! And irritating!

Lori Lessmeister Stoneburner

I wonder how many of these people taking such a hard stand on this would take their kids to see Aladdin, Phantom of the Opera, Beauty and the Beast, Harry Potter ….. and / or loved I Dream or Genie ...

Jacqueline Harkes

No wonder the world is so screwed up. You need a life and not other people’s life. Wow so you must not listen or watch anything. So much hatred that you pick on people that do good in a world.

Sharon Kelsey

Wow. A new low. Didn’t think it was possible, but just wow

Eva Coffey

What planet are you from? You must have been listening to all the Trumpies out there.

Maggie Schweitzer

Let me guess? Christian Nationalists? ... Not happy that TS has gotten millions of young people to register to vote?... in the words of TS, you need to Calm Down.
