Fiancee of rock legend plunges to death off cruise ship

The fiancee of an 80s glam rock band frontman has tragically died after falling overboard following an intense argument.

The fiancee of 80s glam rock band Faster Pussycat frontman Taime Downe is dead after plunging over the side of a cruise ship following an argument with the rocker, according to reports.

Kimberly Burch, 56, died after falling from a cabin balcony on a Royal Caribbean ship on March 2, the Daily Mail reported.

Her body still has not been recovered, the outlet reported.
The tragedy happened just a short time after she and Downe, 60, got in a “heated” argument, Burch’s mother told TMZ. The couple had been together for about six years.

They were on-board the Explorer of the Seas for an 80s-themed cruise where Faster Pussycat was performing alongside groups like Men at Work, Squeeze and Tiffany.

The incident happened on the first day of the seven-day voyage, about 20 miles out to sea after it departed from Miami.

Burch had been drinking on the cruise, according to her mother, who said that was out of character for her.

The grieving mother also told TMZ she doesn’t think her daughter would have hurt herself and had been excited to go on the cruise.

Search efforts involving helicopters were called off after no sign of Burch turned up.

“Our crew immediately launched a search and rescue effort, is working with local authorities, and we are providing support and assistance to the guest’s family during this difficult time,” the US Coast Guard told the outlet.
