Fans of Aussie golden couple Cody Simpson and Emma McKeon are demanding that the pop star turned pro swimmer “put a ring on it” after the pair’s dazzling appearance at Myer’s Precious Metal Gala in Melbourne.

The pair, who have been dating since April 2022, stole the show on Monday night, with Emma, 30, shimmering in a gold Ralph Lauren gown and Cody, 27, channelling his inner James Bond in a sleek tuxedo.

Their red carpet photos, shared on social media, set off a frenzy of engagement speculation among fans who can’t wait for the couple to take the next step.

Cody’s Instagram post, where he captioned a series of glam snaps with, “If this is just the beginning, my life is gonna be beeauutiful! (sic)” sent fans into overdrive. The comments section quickly filled with demands for Cody to pop the question.

“Not unless you put a ring on it,” one follower cheekily commented, while another chimed in with, “Put a ring on it. Don’t lose this blessing!”

McKeon, Australia’s most decorated Olympian with 14 medals under her belt, including three from the recent Paris Olympics, and Simpson, who narrowly missed out on a spot at the Games himself, have captivated the nation with their fairy-tale romance after making their relationship public in July 2022.

Their relationship, which blossomed during intense training for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, has only grown stronger, with the duo recently buying a $1.826 million family-sized home together on the Gold Coast.
