The rumours are true, recently-eliminated Bachelorette contestant Konrad Bien-Stephen has found love with fellow Bachelor alumni, Abbie Chatfield.

It comes after he was booted from this season of the Bachelorette on Thursday night by Brooke Blurton following the hometown visits.

He wasted no time in continuing his search for love with fans noticing he was getting cosy with podcast queen and Bachelor runner-up Abbie Chatfield.

“We are seeing each other, yes,” he told Confidential.

“We met by chance one night in Byron Bay through a mutual friend. It’s early days but I’m excited for what the future holds.”

As for his connection with Brooke, Bien-Stephen said everything fans saw on TV was genuine, but said it was “difficult” to grow love organically in the house.

“There are 20 people trying to form connections with one person. It’s like speed dating on steroids,” he said.

“Brooke is an amazing woman and I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to meet her and get to know her but we just weren’t meant to be.”

Despite plans to relocate to Gold Coast and work alongside fellow contestant Kurt on charity fundraising opportunities, Bien-Stephens said his time on reality TV was far from over.

“I would absolutely be interested in doing more TV. I had an amazing time during the filming and production of the show,” he said.

“Of course I would consider The Bachelor if I were single when approached about it.”

Big Brother showdown

Big Brother VIP’s Ellie Gonsalves says Monday night’s episode will finally show the highly-anticipated “showdown” fans have been waiting for between her and the girls.

“Everybody is definitely waiting for Ellie to have her moment up against the girls, and I think we will definitely see that happen on Monday night whether it goes my way we don’t know yet,” she told Confidential.

“They’ve built it to this point and all I can say is it’s a bloody showdown.”

After a tumultuous week for the model and actress, Gonsalves says she’s coming back into the game with an even tougher mindset.

“Game play is all well and good but when it gets personal, and some nasty things were said, I said it’s game on mate. Don’t cross a loyal Aquarius girl, ever,” she said.

But in Wednesday night’s episode, receiving a letter from her partner of 13 years, Ross Scout, with a paw print from her dog Daisy was all she needed to get through the harsh return to the house.

“It’s not the fact that we were all away from each other, it’s about what was said. My partner Ross talked a lot about my dad being proud of me. That really struck a chord with me.”

Although she said she’s never done anything like the Big Brother house before, she said she was pushing through to the very end all so she could win the cash prize for her charity Wildlife Warriors.

“No matter how tough or challenging things are I will do my 100 per cent best effort to put myself in a strong position.”

Masterchef takes on BBQ

Former Masterchef fan-favourite Matt Sinclair might be running one of the most popular restaurants on the coast, but he’s now trying his hand at conquering the Aussie barbecue scene.

Sinclair has teamed up with the “iconic duo” VB and Weber to help launch their new VB x Weber BBQ just in time for summer.

“It’s an incredible honour to align with two titans of Australian summer. Throw some backyard cricket in the mix and we’re living the dream,” he said.

This summer will be all about bringing some “freshness” to the table including side salads, veggies and sauces, according to Sinclair.

“That refers to taking advantage of all of the beautiful summer produce and laying down an incredible spread.”

Following his stint on Masterchef, Sinclair opened the popular Asian-fusion restaurant Sum Yung Guys on Noosaville.

“Without question it has been the greatest chapter in our lives to date. I get to work side by side with my mates which does sometimes have its challenges, but at the end of the day we all agree that our friendship is the bottom line and the most important thing.”

Although the jam-packed menu has something for everyone - he says there’s one dish everyone needs to try.

“Hands down, try the Miang. It’s bite-sized but packs a punch in the flavour department. Crunchy, fresh, a little bit of spice and a great starter to kick off your meal.”
