After a whirlwind of speculation, Brisbane fans can breathe a sigh of relief – rap superstar Drake is officially bringing his Anita Max Win Tour to the River City in February 2025.
The five-time Grammy Award-winning artist confirmed his tour would hit the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Monday, February 24, following initial confusion during a livestream earlier this week, where he listed the Gold Coast as a stop instead.
During the livestream on the platform Kick with streamer xQc, the 38-year-old Grammy winner thrilled fans by revealing his return Down Under after an eight-year hiatus, stating that the tour would run from February 9 to March, with Melbourne, Sydney, and the Gold Coast as destinations.
But following Friday’s official announcement from Live Nation, it’s clear Brisbane fans won’t be left out of Drake’s long-awaited return Down Under.
Drake’s last visit to Brisbane during his Boy Meets World Tour in 2017 left an indelible mark on both the rapper and the city. Performing to a packed Entertainment Centre, he delivered heartfelt praise for Brisbane, calling it one of his “favourite places.”
“I’m staying in Brisbane for the next four days because it’s one of my favourite places,” Drake told the crowd in 2017.
“Everyone here is genuine, no ego. They look you in the eyes, they show you love.”
The global star’s affection for Brisbane didn’t stop there.
“At a time when everyone tells you the world is falling apart, wherever I go I’ll let them know they’ve got it figured out in Brisbane. I’ll be coming back here for the rest of my life.”
The Anita Max Win Tour marks Drake’s first tour in Australia since 2017, kicking off in Melbourne on February 9 and visiting Sydney before closing in Brisbane.
This tour follows the success of his It’s All A Blur Tour, which saw 80 sold-out shows across North America earlier this year.
Tickets will go on general sale at 12pm local time on Friday, December 6, at drakerelated.com and livenation.com, with multiple presage options beginning December 3, including exclusive offers for MasterCard and Vodafone customers.
