Brisbane has received a ‘dangerous’ delivery, but it’s nothing to call the authorities over. Instead, it’s the sizzling new show ‘Dangerous Goods,’ presented by Brisbane collective Polytoxic.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, this marks the collective’s most extravagant performance to date, turning heads worldwide.
This unapologetically hot cabaret which opened at QPAC’s Cremorne Theatre on January 10, is a fusion of provocative performances, breathtaking physical feats, and powerful acts. Polytoxic’s show is a daring blend of circus, aerials, drag, burlesque, and dynamic vocals. “We’ve got a whole mix of genres and styles; we’ve got circus aerials, powerhouse vocals, dance, comedy and drag,” Polytoxic Co-Director Leah Shelton said, highlighting the show’s diverse offerings.
The audience can expect a revolving cast of extraordinary talent, including the multi-award-winning burlesque performer Jazida.
According to the creators, ‘Dangerous Goods’ is more than just a show; it’s a movement, challenging and changing the landscape of modern cabaret, with each performance promising to be a unique experience.
“If you want a good night out but also want to have a thought-provoking, inspiring experience, then come along,” Polytoxic’s other Co-Director Lisa Fa’alafi added.
This 90-minute spectacle promises an unforgettable evening of entertainment that’s fully-loaded and, as the creators warn, “flammable AF!”
The show will be running at QPAC until February 4 with tickets available at qpac.com.au.
