Dakota Johnson’s telling move amid Chris Martin ‘split’ rumours

The Madame Web star sent a very blunt message while out and about on Friday following rumours she and Chris Martin had split.

Dakota Johnson flaunted her massive emerald engagement ring after shutting down rumours that she had split from her fiance, Chris Martin.

The Fifty Shades of Grey star was photographed intentionally showing off the dazzling gemstone for paparazzi while dining with Jeremy Allen White and Blake Lee in Malibu, California, reports Page Six.

Johnson appeared annoyed as she glared at photographers while walking through a parking lot.

She paired a chic tan coat with flared jeans for the outing.

That same day, the 34-year-old actress’ rep shut down speculation that Johnson and Martin, 47, had called it quits, telling Page Six, “The reports are not true. They are happily together.”

Rumours of the couple’s break-up began swirling after a source claimed to the Daily Mail that they have “accepted the relationship is over — and it’s best to move on.”

Additionally, Johnson had not been wearing her engagement ring and was noticeably absent from the European leg of the Coldplay frontman’s “Music of the Spheres” tour.

The Madame Web star last attended a Coldplay gig at the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England, in June.

Johnson and Martin have dated for seven years since 2017.

The two are rumoured to have briefly split in 2019, though they never confirmed the reports.

The couple sparked engagement rumours in December 2020 when she was first seen with her emerald ring.

However, sources told Page Six in March that the two have been engaged for six years.

Martin was previously married to Gwyneth Paltrow, with whom he shares 20-year-old daughter Apple and 18-year-old son Moses.

The former couple have maintained an amicable co-parenting relationship, even taking family trips together with Johnson and the Goop founder’s husband, Brad Falchuk.

Johnson has also opened up about her role as a stepmum, telling Bustle in March, “I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart.”
