TV veteran and “King” of rugby league Wally Lewis touched down with his new flame Lynda Adams at Brisbane airport on Thursday, with Ms Adams seemingly flashing a hefty ring on her finger.
The pair seemed smitten as they waited outside the domestic terminal, but despite the sizeable rock, Channel 9 confirmed the ring was merely a dress ring Ms Adams has had for years and nuptials were not on the cards just yet.
Lewis and Ms Adams have been dating since early 2021, only a short time after the rugby league legend announced his divorce from his wife of 36 years, Jacqui Lewis.
Lewis, who shares three children – Mitchell, Lincoln and Jamie-Lee – with Jacqui, admitted the separation had taken a heavy toll on his family when he confirmed he was in a new relationship.
Ms Adams is a Townsville-based freelance writer and long-time volunteer at the Still Birth and Neonatal Death Support (SANDS) group.
She became involved with the group after losing six unborn children to miscarriage over “four dark years”.
The smiling pair flew into town ahead of the Broncos-Cowboys NRL derby on Friday night, with the King seen clapping Brisbane onto the field despite his partner’s North Queensland loyalties.
