Guests said everyone could feel the love when Sydney Swans AFL star Kieren Jack and Channel 10 journalist Charlotte Goodlet tied the knot on Friday, with witty vows, a VIP guest list and the obviously happy couple making it “the perfect day”.
However, the absence of Jack’s parents, Balmain Tigers legend Garry Jack and his wife Donna, who have been estranged from the couple since 2016, did not go unnoticed.
As Jack, 31, and Goodlet, 26, said their vows at Allview Escape in the Blue Mountains on Friday afternoon, his mum and dad were nowhere to be seen.
The parents, who have three sons, yesterday issued a statement to The Sunday Telegraph which said: “We would like to wish Kieren and Charlotte all the best on their special day.
“It is unfortunate and disappointing that we were not in attendance of our son’s wedding, but sadly none of the family made the invite list. Nonetheless, we wish them both well.”

While Kieren’s older brother Rhys Jack and his partner, actor Kat Hoyos, did not attend the nuptials, younger brother Brandon Jack was the best man, with his girlfriend Elly also in attendance.
Brandon shared a sweet snap to Instagram, which he captioned: “Watched my best mate and brother marry the love of his life yesterday. Incredible day and night we won’t ever forget.”
Other attendees at the star-studded nuptials were media personalities Julie Snook, Abbey Gelmi, Natalia Cooper and Davina Smith, AFL stars Sam Reid, Dan Hannebery, Jarrad McVeigh, Sam Reid and Luke Parker, and former pageant contestants Erin Holland and Renae Ayris.
The wedding was by all accounts a stunning affair.
Goodlet, who is believed to be keeping her surname, looked resplendent in a long-sleeved,
low-cut Pallas Couture dress, while Jack was dressed head-to-toe in Farage.
The public stoush between nice-guy Kieren and his parents began when Jack’s mother Donna took to Twitter claiming she was banned from attending his milestone 200th AFL game in July 2016.
His parents also missed the 2016 AFL grand final between the Swans and Western Bulldogs, where Jack was photographed looking tearful on the MCG pitch, where he was consoled by his younger brother.
Sunday Confidential can reveal the last time the family were together in the same room was at Garry’s father’s funeral a couple of weeks ago.
