“I am loving seeing people that I know and love and getting back into it. The modelling industry right now is very positive, more inclusive of diversity and I am excited by that.”
Ward, who is also mum to four-year-old daughter Naia, last night frocked-up to attend the annual Bazaar in Bloom.
The charity event brings together our top designers and models to raise money and awareness for The Royal Hopsital for Women Foundation and peri-natal mental health services.
“It is so great that this event targets this cause,” she said.
“It is important that people get the help that they need, so whatever I can do to help the cause, I am happy to back it.”
Ward is one of our top modelling exports of the past two decades. She was the youngest model to ever appear on the cover of American Vogue and has also appeared on the covers of Teen Vogue and Time, as well as working with high end brands from Balenciaga to Dior.
She is also an actor, appearing in critically acclaimed Australian film The Black Balloon as well as Hollywood flicks Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and The Great Gatsby.
She’s looking forward to get back into acting again.
“I have always loved acting,” she said. “I am so happy with modelling as well. We will see what happens.”
