Fitness magnate Kayla Itsines, once declared one of the most influential people on the internet, has relocated to Queensland.
The personal trainer announced the move to her 16,000,000 Instagram followers on Thursday night with a series of pictures from her life on the Gold Coast.
“We’ve officially MOVED TO QUEENSLAND!!! To be fair, it doesn’t feel real because we really did bring the whole Adelaide crew and both our families with us,” Itsines wrote in the caption.
Her husband, Jae Woodroffe who boasts nearly 40,000 Instagram followers, made the move north from Adelaide alongside Itsines with their son Jax born in January 2023.
“P.s dw (don’t worry) we still have a house in Adelaide and I HAVE TO fly back every couple of weeks to see my family … especially my grandparents who don’t want me to move … not because they love me too much … but because ‘too many mosquitoes’,” she added.
“HELLO QUEENSLAND FAM☀️☀️☀️☀️ we’re so excited !!!”
Among the congratulatory commenters was Queensland based makeup artist and beauty entrepreneur with 318,000 Instagram followers Tanielle Jai who wrote “welcome honey!!!!”
Itsines started the Sweat fitness app with then partner Tobi Pearce, and the app’s revenue made the pair the youngest on the 2016 Financial Review Young Rich List with a combined wealth of $46 million.
In March 2016, Time Magazine named her one of the 30 most influential people online citing her success at leveraging social media to promote her brand.
The subscription-based Sweat was sold to US fitness tech company iFIT for a reported $400 million in 2021.
Pearce, who Itsines shares a four-year-old daughter with, also lives in Queensland.
