Monique called Matt a c**t as a joke, Bachelor’s Julia Hyde says

It all blew up on The Bachelor last night, with accusations flying about who threw a vile slur at Matt Agnew and why. In the end, contestant Julia Hyde got the boot despite having nothing to do with the divisive situation at the mansion.

Last night kids entertainer Julia Hyde was sent home from The Bachelor — despite fellow contestant Monique Morley calling him a “dog c**t” and Abbie Chatfield dobbing to him about it.

Hyde, 28, did not receive a rose at last night’s ceremony after a drama filled evening that saw the girls split into two groups.

The evening turned into an investigation by Agnew to find out exactly who said what and why.

“He (Agnew) was on a mission trying to figure out what was going on because Abbie had miscommunicated that Monique a comment in a joking manner and it was misconstrued and communicated to Matt,” Hyde said.

“So a lot of girls were quite disappointed in Abbie, it was kind of like segregation between the two girls.

“It sucks that one girl would make a comment about the other girl and peg something on her and go on the attack.

“I’m totally against that I think as women we shouldn’t break each other down, we should build each other up and encourage each other and cheer each other on.

“For me that was disappointing.”

Hyde said she wasn’t alone in her disappointment with Chatfield.

“It was a few other girls’ responses too who were trying to appease the situation,” she said.

“Sogand had a conversation with Matt and went back to the kitchen with Monique and Abbie was there too and she kind of apologised and Sogand was really to the point, she said ‘Abbie you shot yourself in the foot, you shouldn’t have said what you said. We don’t understand why you did what you did’.”

The way the evening shaped up the consensus was either Chatfield or Morley would go home — Chatfield already had a rose but the girls thought perhaps it could be revoked.

But no, innocent Hyde, who did not get a chance to talk to Agnew during the evening because of the drama, was collateral damage.

“I feel that possibly Matt decided to keep Monique because he’d just gone on a single date with her and spent time away from the mansion and cocktail party,” Hyde said.

“My interactions with him were always with other people around.

“We didn’t really have one-on-one time.”
