DESPITE her doubts, Kasey Chambers is hitting a high note with her new fashion project and has been overwhelmed by the chorus of demand.
The country star’s first Poetry by Kasey and Renee range — named for the singer’s six-year-old daughter Poet — sold out in just two hours.

“We didn’t quite know it was going to connect so well,” Chambers told The Saturday Telegraph. “It is actually really similar to making records.
“If you find your creative flow and just sort of run with that and it is authentic and real, it comes so naturally because it is something I have always been interested in,” she said.
The label features a range of skirts, dresses and T-shirts for women and is a collaboration with designer friend Renee Ross, whose Renee Loves Frances label was inspired by musical legends like Emmylou Harris.
“Poet’s basic requirement was that she needed it to twirl,” said Chambers, who is also mother to sons Talon, 15, and Arlo, 10.
“That was really all she cared about so we ticked that off the list and she’s happy and now thinks she is a supermodel who won’t get out of bed for less than $10,000.”
