The television presenter, whose every move is followed by paparazzi, has pneumonia and picked up antibiotics from the chemist after being diagnosed with the illness by his GP this morning.

Stefanovic, 44, also had a chest X-Ray, that confirmed the diagnosis after a week of being on the road covering the recent political upheaval in Canberra and before that outside broadcasts on the drought.

Stefanovic’s fashion designer partner, Jasmine Yarbrough, is understood to be visiting family in Brisbane, where her grandmother broke her hip in a fall.

Tim Gilbert stepped in for Stefanovic on air on Today alongside Georgie Gardner.

Overnight, Yarbrough sparked rumours that the pair had tied the knot.

A cryptic Instagram post by Yarbrough, shared yesterday, hints that the pair may already be living in blissful matrimony.

Yarbrough, 34, shared a photo of her with Stefanovic’s sister-in-law, Jenna Dinicola, with the telling caption: “Sister sister”.

Dinicola is married to Stefanovic’s younger brother, Tom. She replied to Yarbrough on the post, writing: “Love it sister!”

The TV presenter met the Brisbane-born shoe designer on a lavish boat cruise in December 2016, following Stefanovic’s high-profile split with his wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn.
