Mum-of-two, Jules Sebastian, is refusing to let herself get too busy.

“In the last couple of years I’ve been bringing it back to the simplicity of life and not overcrowding it with too much stuff, because being busy is not good, it’s not good for our health,” she told Confidential.

“When people say ‘I’m so busy’ I just think, why? Why are we doing this to ourselves? Let’s just not.”

The wife of pop star Guy Sebastian is determined to be present for the couple’s two young boys, Hudson, 7 and Archer, 4.

“My priorities have really taken a shift, especially since the kids are getting older and they need me more,” the former celebrity stylist said.

“I want to be there, I want to see them kick the soccer ball and score the goal or pick up the pieces if they lose the game, or be the first one that they tell their stories to in the car on the way home from school.”

As well as continuing her passion project, Tea With Jules, Sebastian has signed on as a LEGO ambassador — a gig her kids are very pleased about.

“There are a lot of rogue pieces of LEGO throughout our house on the carpet” she laughed.

“It’s such a trusted brand that everyone on the planet knows about and it’s one of those things that’s for kids, and what I found out since doing some work with LEGO is, a lot of adults like to buy it too.”

While admiring a LEGO Mustang that comes with 600 pages of instructions and sold out within 24 hours of launching, Sebastian — who must have the patience of a saint — said sitting down to build one of the complex figurines is her “dream day.”

“To just sit down, with a cuppa tea and just get through it, it’s therapeutic and methodical, you know, here’s where you start, here’s where you finish — it would be so satisfying to do.”

Sydney’s first LEGO-certified store opens in Westfield Bondi Junction on Thursday.
