A week after they copped some flack for playing up Kyle Sandilands’ non-existent ‘‘medical diagnosis’’, 60 Minutes is back in the shallow end with its exclusive interview with Arabella Del Busso, ex-girlfriend of NRL star Josh Reynolds which aired on Sunday night.
For those not entirely up to date on the saga, Del Busso was accused by Reynolds of faking three pregnancies and duping him out of a chunk of cash after the couple split last year. She denied the claims.
It’s understood 60 Minutes paid Del Busso (real name Donna Preusker) a five-figure sum for her side of the story.
However, Confidential hears things got heated when the cameras stopped rolling.
It’s believed Del Busso tapped lawyers soon after she taped the interview with Tom Steinfort in an attempt to have the segment canned.
Nine declined to comment on the matter and the segment went to air Sunday night as planned.

The pair went public with their romance this week, sharing photos on Instagram of each other in bed together and kissing in Sydney.
Fares was pulled over on December 23, 2019 for an oral fluid test. Police allege “there was present in his oral fluid a prescribed illicit drug, to wit 3,4-methylenedioxymethylamphetamine and cocaine”.
It’s understood he completed a traffic offenders program and pleaded guilty to the charges. He is to be sentenced on June 12.
Hampton is no stranger to controversial relationships. She has two children with Rebels Adelaide boss Shane Michael Smith.
During their relationship he narrowly avoided jail for an assault on two nightclub bouncers. Hampton remains close to Smith and has labelled him the ‘‘greatest person’’.
This is her first relationship since she split with Michael Goonan in January following their ‘‘marriage’’ on Channel 9’s reality juggernaut.
Hampton was the brunt of public backlash over her alleged affair with Mikey Pembroke mid-filming of the season, an allegation she has strenuously denied.
