Jasmine Stefanovic and baby girl visit family in QLD without Karl

She’s lived in Sydney for years with her now husband Karl Stefanovic but Jasmine travelled to Queensland, where she’s still a resident, with her newborn daughter to visit with family and to set up the couple’s new holiday home —without the Today host.

The Today Show: Karl is back! But the ratings are terrible

Jasmine Stefanovic has made her way north with her newborn baby to visit family and set up her and husband Karl’s new Sunshine Coast holiday home.

While Queensland has strict COVID-19 border control laws in place, friends of the shoe designer insist she was entitled to enter the state as a Queensland resident.

Jasmine, who has lived in Sydney for a number of years with TV host husband Karl, is believed to have made her way from Sydney to Queensland one week ago, just three weeks before the borders are officially thrown open between NSW and Queensland.

She is said to have driven with her mum, dad and seven-week-old daughter Harper May to her parents’ home in Ascot, Brisbane.

It was there Jasmine introduced her baby girl to her beloved 94-year-old grandmother for the first time.

Despite strict COVID-19 rules stating domestic travellers must self-isolate for 14 days once crossing the border, Jasmine and her daughter on Saturday made their way to the Sunshine Coast where she and her husband recently bought a holiday property on the beach.

Sunday Confidential was unable to get in contact with Jasmine on Saturday, however a close friend said the new mum was entitled to enter the state as a Queensland resident and had been quarantining in Sydney prior to the trip so she could visit her elderly grandmother.

Karl remains in Sydney where he continues to work on Nine breakfast program Today.

It is believed he will be looking after his three children he shares with former wife Cassandra Thorburn — Jackson, Ava and River — during the school holidays.
