Ellie Aitken reveals heartbreak in cryptic post after marriage split

Ellie Aitken has posted a cryptic social media post after her estranged husband confirmed he’s now dating her best friend.

Newly-single Ellie Aitken has alluded to her heartbreak in a cryptic social media post following her shock split with husband of almost 20 years, Charlie Aitken.

In the sombre Instagram post, Mrs. Aitken shared a quote that read: “One day you’ll look back and realise how hard it was, and just how well you did”.

She wrote the caption: “Sisters are the best, I love you @ambergibson1 and miss you so much. Thanks for this. Please may the borders open.”

Hollie and Chris Nasser were best friends with the Aitkens before Charlie began dating Hollie.

It comes after The Sunday Telegraph revealed that the former power couple abruptly ended their marriage two weeks ago.

Mrs. Aitken, 42, also resigned from her post as executive director of the couple’s investment business, Aitken Investment Management, but remains a director.

Ellie and Hollie once had a close bond.

In a bizarre twist, Mr. Aitken, 48, recently confirmed that he is now in a relationship with her best friend, Hollie Nasser, who is the glamorous wife of his business partner and friend, Christopher Nasser.

Mr. Nasser also recently resigned from his position as a director at AIM.

Mr. Aitken has moved out of the couple’s eastern suburbs home and into a serviced apartment in Bondi Junction with Mrs. Nasser.

Mr. Aitken is the son of Perpetual Bank investment legend John Aitken and a former stockbroker.

Mrs. Aitken is a mergers and acquisitions lawyer who dabbled in fashion design before joining her husband at the family funds business.
