The pair took part in a friendly hit out at Bondi Beach with Adidas taking over the Icebergs ocean pool to create a temporary tennis court to promote its collaboration with Parley Ocean Plastic, using recycled materials in clothing.
“Just in general terms the movement within women’s sport within the past couple of years has been phenomenal,” Perry told Confidential.
“There is genuine interest and it has been really lovely to be a part of that whole change and development.”
Some of the world’s top tennis players are in town this week for the Sydney International in preparation for the Australian Open kicking off in Melbourne on Monday.
Other celebrities at the launch included Jesinta Franklin, Ian Thorpe, Josh Mansour and Beau Ryan.
