PASH rash was an unfortunate bi-product of kissing British actor Eddie Izzard for Aussie comedy star Emily Taheny.
Izzard and Taheny share a few kisses on the big screen in new Australian flick The Flip Side.
“I had to kiss a lot for this film,” Taheny laughed.
“I had pash rash from Eddie. It was so bad that my chin literally peeled off. It scabbed. It was a palm-sized scab on my chin. It was so awful.”
Taheny, 41, used make-up to conceal the injury and said she never discussed the unlucky issue with Izzard.
“Eddie has got quite a pronounced chin,” she said. “Make-up did a great job. The kissing scenes were in quite close succession so I just recovered and then it happened again. It was intense.”

The Flip Side is a romantic comedy that poses the simple question: What would happen if ‘the one that got away’ came back into your life?
Izzard plays Henry, the ex of Taheny’s character Ronnie, while Luke McKenzie is her current boyfriend, Jeff.
It’s a film that clearly and unashamedly targets women over 35 — a clear directive from director and scriptwriter Marion Pilowsky.
“Having Marion at the helm, her previous career for 20 or 30 years as a high-level producer, she has a different perspective,” McKenzie said.
“I think she came into this with a certain degree of an outside perspective, questioning the gaps in the market and what we aren’t doing.
“I think she has really punched it up and delivered a fun, tight film. It is pretty clearly a lighthearted entertaining romantic comedy — that is exactly what Marion and the team aimed for and that is exactly what it is.”
Taheny agreed: “Most Australian films aren’t that, they can be very dark.”
The Flip Side opens in cinemas next Thursday, August 30.
