SHE might have been single for two years, but that hasn’t stopped Brisbane’s Janey Birks from picking up a wedding dress, or three.
The quirky 31-year-old children’s entertainer, who will look for love on Bachelor in Paradise, confessed that friends have banned her from looking in the bridal section of op shops because of her penchant for wedding gowns.

“If you’ve ever tried on one and had it fit you perfectly, it’s so magical,” said Birks, who added that she considered them costumes.
“I forget what they’re for.”
She picked up one gown for $100 and the first two for just $20, one of which happened to be on the same day she was meeting her then-boyfriend’s family for dinner.
“They said, ‘Everyone tell me the most exciting thing that happened today’. So I said ‘I bought a wedding dress’,” Birks said. “This beautiful big Italian family lost their mind saying ‘Oh my god, why didn’t you tell us?’”
She tried to show her boyfriend the dress, but he declined, saying it was “bad luck”.
“It might have been because we broke up,” she laughed.
Birks also has a cardboard cut-out of Harry Styles and a dancer’s pole inside her Taringa home.
She was originally introduced to Australia when she turned up to the 2016 season of The Bachelor dressed as Cinderella, and left her shoe at the feet of Richie Strahan.
She has returned to Bachelor in Paradise hoping to find someone who will embrace her quirky personality.
“That’s a big thing for me. I don’t want to be with someone who thinks they have to put up with that side. I want someone who thinks that’s really fun,” she said.
“I’d seen a lot of people on Angie (Kent)’s season that I thought were fun so I thought I’d give it a go.”
Bachelor in Paradise premieres Wednesday on Channel 10.
