Axed Breakfast radio team Bianca, Mike & Bob finish first place in radio ratings

IN A massive ratings shake-up, 97.3FM Breakfast has finished top spot in the latest radio ratings survey, despite two-thirds of the team being axed from the brekky show.
Earlier this month the Australian Radio Network announced Bianca Dye and Mike Van Acker will be departing from 97.3FM’s Breakfast Show, although this morning’s ratings results show the trio came out on top as the most listened show in the timeslot with an 11.2 per cent share of the audience.
Bianca, Mike & Bob beat their competitors, with Hit 105’s Stav, Abby & Matt and Triple M’s The Big Breakfast with Marto, Margaux and Nick Cody coming equal second with an 11.0 per cent audience share.
Nova’s Ash, Kip, Luttsy & Susie fell to fourth place in the latest results, despite having held a clean sweep of breakfast radio ratings this year.
Overall, 97.3FM was the most listened to station, with a 12.2 per cent share of the audience Monday to Friday, beating Triple M at 11.6 per cent, Hit 105 at 11.0 per cent and Nova at 10.4 per cent.
In the previous ratio ratings survey, Nova held the top spot as Brisbane’s most listened to station, but dropped 1.4 per cent.
Triple M finished the year as the second most listened to station, with an 11.6 per cent audience share from Monday to Friday.
Triple M Brisbane content director Scott Menz praised the station and it’s newest addition Margaux Parker, who started in September replacing Robin Bailey.
“We are thrilled that the Triple M audience has wrapped its collective arms around Margaux Parker in her role on The Big Breakfast with Marto and Nick Cody,” Menz said.
“They are hearing - and loving - what we have known for a long time... that Margaux is pretty amazing.
“Since she started in September the show has grown in both audience numbers and share, and we couldn’t be happier.”
In the AM battle, 4KQ remained on top with a 7.7 per cent share of the audience Monday to Friday.
ABC: Craig Zonca and Loretta Ryan held the top spot as Brisbane’s number one AM Breakfast.
