CHANTAL Monaghan is surely and steadily ticking off her goals one by one.
The 22-year-old has just shot a global campaign for a United States brand and has her heart set on one day becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel. And, back home in Australia, she continues to kick goals.
Monaghan, who celebrated her birthday on Saturday, this month fronts the new Jo Mercer shoes campaign alongside Samantha Harris and Julia Gardell.
“I want to be known for being amazing at my job,” she said.
“I just want to succeed. To me, it is not about being known and famous, it is about being good at what I do and doing good work like Vogue.”
Monaghan is one of our most promising modelling stars of the last few years, having got her start on Foxtel reality show The Face, where she was mentored by supermodel Naomi Campbell.
She’s worked with international fashion houses like Jean Paul Gaultier and, looking ahead, is hopeful of landing that Victoria’s Secret spot this year.
“It will never not be my dream,” she said. “Who knows, it might not happen for a couple of years but that is my dream and my end goal.”
