Gold Coast influencer Ashy Bines has sent Instagram into meltdown after revealing the name of her new baby girl.

The Glitter Strip fitness queen and husband Steven Evans welcomed their daughter into the world on Sunday.

On Thursday, she revealed to her one million Instagram followers that she and Mr Evans had named the baby Tala.

The post, with a photo of the bub in a white jumpsuit next to blocks spelling out her name, drew hundreds of comments with many questioning if it was pronounced like ‘Taylor’ or ‘Taylah’ and suggesting she should change the spelling.

Followers quickly jumped in to defend Bines, slamming the ‘annoying people’ questioning the name.

“Omg the people suggesting on how she should spell or pronounce her daughter’s name,” one commenter wrote.

“What a beautiful name for a beautiful little girl.”

Bines responded: “I know lol. I would never tell someone to spell their kid’s name differently, obviously people choose a name or spelling because they like it lol.”

Bines was later forced to clarify the spelling at the top of her post.

“Pronounced like LALA or NALA but TALA for those asking,” she wrote with a heart face emoji.

Some commenters pointer out that Lala meant gold in Persian, star in Filipino and palm tree in Arabic.

Meanwhile, another Gold Coast influencer, Tammy Hembrow, has also revealed the name of the new daughter she had with Gold Coast ironman Matt Poole at the weekend.

The couple have named the little girl Posy.
