Ashleigh Brewer couldn’t extend Home And Away role due to big move with boyfriend

MOVING in with her boyfriend means Ashleigh Brewer won’t be extending her stint on popular TV soap Home And Away.
The Los Angeles-based actor returned to Australia to join the cast as a cop named Chelsea, with her first episodes debuting this week and the actor to be seen on air for several months.

“That time on the ground living and working in Australia, I needed them more than I even recognised I needed,” the 27-year-old said.
“That show, they just write so well. I learnt a lot. It was a great playground to get my confidence back and to learn that I am in this business for the right reasons and to give me the boost I needed to keep trucking along here in LA.”
Brewer was a regular on Neighbours alongside best mate Margot Robbie before moving to Hollywood, where she played Ivy Forrester on American soap The Bold And The Beautiful for four years.
She spoke to Confidential on the phone from the US in a break from moving in with boyfriend Zac.
Home And Away producers asked Brewer to extend her role, although she wouldn’t go into detail on the offer.
“I can’t give anything away,” she said when asked if she’d return to the show at any point.
“I really loved the character that they created for me but seeing as I just signed a pretty serious contract (lease) with my boyfriend, I am pretty excited to start this next chapter of my life over here.”
