The 26-year-old Sweet but Psycho singer hasn’t had a drink for 12 months as she focuses on spreading her music as far and wide as possible.
So far so good for Max, whose follow up hit So Am I is on high rotation on radio.

“Drinking and partying never appealed to me in lyrics,” she told Confidential.
“It is sometimes fun when you go out party and listen to those fun songs but they don’t have a lot of meaning behind them. I definitely wanted to add a meaning to a fun song, which is hard to do. Pop can be inspiring and fun.”
Max, who cites Mariah Carey and Gwen Stefani as her inspirations, has also featured on tracks with David Guetta and Jason Derulo.
With her distinct look, she is a star on the rise in the pop world and promises fans she will release her debut album this year.
“There’s no features (collaborations) on the album, just a lot of great pop songs I hope will inspire a lot of people,” she said before playing a Nova Red Room gig in Sydney last night.
