Fashionistas won’t know where to look first when Aje showcases its resort collection at one of Sydney’s most historic and picturesque sites next month.
Sunday Confidential can reveal design duo Edwina Forest and Adrian Norris will send 45 models dressed in their Resort 2020 collection down the runway at historic Campbell’s Stores in The Rocks when they open Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on May 12.
As the sun sets over the stunning waterfront site which dates back to 1839 and has had a $32 million remediation and restoration, 600 guests will be transported “to the world of Aje”.

“We feel incredibly privileged and honoured to host our Mercedes-Benz Presents opening show at Campbell’s Stores in The Rocks,” Aje co-founder Forest said.
“It makes perfect sense for our brand to showcase in a Sydney location that is both unique and also references the duality of our coastal to urban landscape which encapsulates the essence of our brand.”
While MBFWA traditionally focuses on fashion, it’s also about selling Australia internationally, with images from the week long event, now in its 24th year, often broadcast around the globe.
With uncompromised views of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Sydney Harbour, the venue will no doubt be memorable for both local and visiting guests.
“Over the past three years, iconic offsite locations have been strategically selected to showcase Sydney’s unique culture, architecture and landscape to the world,” said Natalie Xenita, executive director, IMG Fashion Asia Pacific.
