Not since her maternity leave seven years ago has Home And Away darling Ada Nicodemou been able to spend such quality time with her son, Johnas.
Johnas is Nicodemou’s only child with ex-husband Chrys Xipolitas and the bond between mother and son is unbreakable.
“It’s been nice having so much time with him, the great conversations and the laughs and an endless supply of cuddles, it’s been really nice,” the 42-year-old told Confidential.
“The last time it was maternity leave that I was off set.”
As a mum, the most important lessons Nicodemou has instilled in her son are respect, honesty and independence.
“All I know is that I’m bringing up a good man and I speak to him respectfully, he speaks to me respectfully,” she said.
“That’s all you can do as a mum and just be as honest as possible.
“(The most important things are) being a good person, being trustworthy, we don’t lie and he’s got to fend for himself.
“Teach them life lessons in how you’re behaving and they will mimic that.”
