Charli XCX goes full Brat at Coachella with star-studded cameos

Charli XCX assembled a supergroup of pop royalty for her spectacular set at the first weekend of the Coachella festival.

Pop queen Charli XCX assembled her Brat Avengers for the most star-studded guest rollcall at the Coachella festival in California last weekend.

The British culture shaper enlisted an A-list squad - Billie Eilish, Troye Sivan and Lorde - to join her for the annual celebfest meets music marathon near Palm Springs.

This generation’s pop Fab Four posed for an iconic photo together backstage before each of Charli’s music mates jumped up for their cameos during her electrifying “golden hour” rave set.

Australian pop prince Sivan, who has been working with the Brat superstar for more than seven years and staged the joint Sweat tour with her in the US last year, rocked out on their collab “Talk Talk.”

“I’m so f**king obsessed with you, Charli!” Sivan yelled as they strutted down the runway.

Eillie, sporting her over-sized sports jersey uniform, provoked wild cheers when she appeared alongside the British singer to bust out their chart-topper Guess.

Dressed in a grey T-shirt and silver trousers, Kiwi pop gamechanger Lorde popped up for the girl beef track Girl, So Confusing.

And it appears Charli was handing over the Brat Summer torch to her girl.

“Lorde summer 2025!” she sang during their moment.

While she is enjoying what appears to be an endless Brat summer - there’s still more shows off the back of that acclaimed record - Charli handing the torch to Lorde confirms the Kiwi artist is about to launch her next project.

Lorde gave fans a heads up that new music is on the way with a snippet of a song on TikTok late last week after wiping her social media channels.

Charli messed with her fans’ heads after her club classics performance on the first weekend of the marquee festival.

After closing out the set with “I Love It”, her timeless smash with Icona Pop, a cryptic message flashed on the big screens suggesting she was winding up her Brat chapter - even though the tour doesn’t close until August in Europe.

“Thank you so much Coachella,” the message began. “Does this mean that brat summer is finally over????? … Idk? … Maybe? … yeah cuz duh it was already over like last year. … wait… was it? … NO???… I don’t know who I am if it’s over??? F--KKKKK…. Wait… I remembered…I’m Charli XCX… and honestly… I just want this moment to last forever… PLEASE DON’T LET IT BE OVER.”

And with that, the lights went down.

Among the celebrities making the pilgrimage to the marquee event were Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, Julia Fox and models Alex Consani and Gabbriette.
