In a fun detour ahead of their much-anticipated concert in Brisbane, Motley Crue’s drummer Tommy Lee and his wife, internet sensation Brittany Furlan, visited the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary on Monday, interacting with Australia’s unique wildlife.
The couple’s adventure was humorously documented by Furlan in an Instagram video, posted on Wednesday, where she jovially attempted an Australian accent while sharing their experiences.
The video, captioned “Best day evvvvva! @lonepinekoala featuring my cringey Aussie accent,” showcased the couple’s interactions with koalas, kangaroos, and a host of other Australian fauna.
Furlan’s playful narration included feeding kangaroos and cuddling with a koala, while also giving her humorous take on the animals they encountered.
She amusingly referred to dingoes as “Australia’s coyotes” and had a few choice words about emus, highlighting their potential aggressiveness. The Tasmanian devil and bush turkeys also made an appearance in her video recount.
The highlight of the video was Furlan holding a koala, which she noted was “trying to cop a feel”, before finishing the video saying it was the “best day ever”.
This lighthearted excursion came just before the start of Motley Crue’s Australian tour leg alongside the UK’s Def Leppard, with the band performing at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Wednesday night.
Alongside Tommy Lee on drums, the band includes Nikki Sixx on bass and Vince Neil on vocals. They kicked off the show with their 2021 hit “Too Fast for Love” and ramped up the energy with “Shout at the Devil,” thrilling the audience.
