Prince Harry has revealed that he “meditates everyday” and that when “bad things happen” he believes he’s “being schooled by the universe”.

The Duke of Sussex made the remarks while speaking about mental health at a conference with US firm BetterUp.

Harry told the organisation that his responsibilities and commitments often leave him feeling burnt-out.

“I’m burning the candle at both ends and that’s like, boom,” he said.

“That’s when you’re forced to look inside yourself.”

Despite his gilded LA lifestyle, Harry said he can’t always do the things he’d “love to do” because of the “stresses” he faces.

“Mental fitness is the pinnacle – it’s what you’re aiming for. The road towards that can be really bumpy … it’s called inner ‘work’ for a reason,” he continued.

“I know I need to meditate every day … You need to put it into your day diary as a habit otherwise it’s the first thing that drops away.

According to the royal, he uses visualisation to “turn negatives into positives” – claiming it’s his “superpower”.

“When bad things happen I think, ‘There’s a lesson here, I’m being schooled by the universe and) next time it happens, I’m going to be more resilient and can see a way around it to achieve the ultimate goal’,” he said.

“If you have that perspective, every single bad thing – or the things you perceive to be bad – that happen actually can be good.”

The prince added that while “some days are great, some days are really hard”.

“I’m always kicking myself – ‘If you’d have done this, which you know works for you, you wouldn’t be in this state now’,” he said of his constant thought processes.

“It’s work, but of all the work that’s pulled towards us, it’s the most fulfilling work – apart from being a dad.”

He also argued that all companies should give employees time to build on their “mental fitness”.

Bosses should allocate 15-minute “white space” periods during the day, he said.
