Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly doing much “better” after testing positive for Covid-19 in February.
Prince Charles, who also recently recovered from the virus, allegedly spoke to a golf course administrative worker named Janice Jacom while visiting Southend-on-Sea on Tuesday.
“I asked the Prince about his mother, and he said, ‘She’s a lot better now — it was very mild,’” she told Hello! magazine.
“It was a bit worrying as the Queen is getting on a bit, but I think she’s absolutely wonderful,” Jacom added.
The Prince of Wales, 73, reportedly gave another local, Raymond Gibson, a similar response when asked about his mother’s condition.
“I asked how his mum was, he said she’s had very slight Covid so she’s OK,” Gibson told Town & Country.
The health update comes amid reports the 95-year-old British monarch reunited with her grandchildren over the weekend after making a full recovery.
She spent an afternoon outdoors at her Windsor estate with Prince William and Kate Middleton along with their three children, Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, according to the Daily Mail.
The outlet also reported that Princess Beatrice and her newborn baby girl, Sienna, 5 months, were in attendance at the Frogmore Cottage reunion.
At the time of her diagnosis, Buckingham Palace announced that she was experiencing “mild cold-like symptoms” but that she would continue with “light duties.”
“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines,” the palace statement read.
The monarch, who will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee to mark the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne this year, has since returned to some of her duties.
She was seen hosting two virtual meetings with foreign ambassadors from her home in Windsor Castle on Tuesday. She wore a bright green dress for the video calls, along with her signature pearls.
