Pippa Middleton pregnant with second child

Pippa Middleton, the world-famous sister of Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, is ending the year on a high note.

Pippa Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister, is pregnant with her second child and hunting for a home near their parents’ property.

Ms Middleton, who became world famous as her sister Kate’s bridesmaid at her 2011 wedding to Prince William, was “thrilled”.

The new baby will join their son, Arthur, 2, be a new cousin to Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 2.

“Pippa and James are thrilled, it’s fantastic news amid a difficult year. The entire family is delighted,” a source told the New York Post’s Page Six column.

Ms Middleton married former racing car driving and hedge fund manager James Matthews in 2017 and they live in London in a $30 million home.

But they were reportedly close to inking a deal to buy Bucklebury Farm, which is currently a tourist attraction, for $2.65 million in Berkshire, about 90 minutes west of London.

The 29-hectare farm property, which currently has a petting zoo and children’s adventure playground, would be a perfect place to build their dream home.

Her parents Carole, 65, and Michael Middleton, 71, live nearby.

It comes as Mr Matthews, who managed billions of dollars in funds, was appointed as a director of the Williams Formula One racing team this year.

And while the couple were likely to move closer to their family home, they were in a dilemma about what to do for Christmas.

The UK strengthened coronavirus rules across London and parts of the south of the country, to come into effect from Wednesday.

Under the rules for Christmas, which were slightly relaxed for compassionate reasons, families will only be allowed to meet in groups of three households.

The Middletons’ brother James will also have to be considered, so one of the siblings would miss out on Christmas with their extended family.

The Queen, 94, and Prince Philip, 99, were due to stay alone at Windsor Castle with their royal bubble staff.

However, Prince Charles and Camilla were expected to visit them at some point over the festive season.

Prince William, 38, and Kate, 38, were likely to stay at Anmer Hall in Norfolk in England’s north.

They would be able to invite Carole and Michael to stay, but then would have to choose between Pippa and James for the final slot.

Kate discussed the problem with students on a recent visit to Cardiff, Wales, when they were travelling around the UK to thank health and frontline workers for their efforts during coronavirus.

Prince William, when talking to the students, said: “I really hope you get to see your families this Christmas.”

Ms Matthews has declined to comment on the pregnancy reports.
