Diehard fans of ex-One Direction heart-throb Louis Tomlinson have braved a rain deluge to queue for a prime spot ahead of his concert at Riverstage tonight.

Fans of former One Director heart-throb Louis Tomlinson have come from far and wide to queue in the rain at Riverstage from as early as 5am today so they can get the prime spot to see the popular singer in concert tonight.

The throng of mainly young girls weren’t scared of flooding rains pounding Brisbane, eagerly lining up and waiting their pick of merchandise and wrist bands before the crowds swell later today.

Fan Rylee Foulkes said she witnessed campers outside the Brisbane city venue last night before they were moved on before re-emerging about 8.30am today.

“I saw one girl literally jump over a bin so she could get in front of the line to get her wrist band,” she said.

“It was chaos, we got our wrist bands at about 10.30am but we brought umbrellas and ponchos, I mean, I was prepared,” she said.

Meanwhile Kerri-Ann Luketic from Bundaberg said she was worried when the rain was coming down this morning.

“We left ours at about 6am but we still did the drive and made it,” she said.

“When we were coming it was just pouring and we were a little worried but we came with ponchos,” she said.

Friend Ella Tack said it was “crazy” this morning when people began lining up for wrist bands.

“We were told to move on and come back at 3pm but we just hung around the area,” she said.

Meanwhile, Emma Mollison said she knew it would rain, but it still didn’t stop her and her friends from coming along.

“Nothing is going to stop us, we’ve been fans ever since his One Direction days and we have waited a while for him to come,” she said.

“When we got here we saw campers get kicked off,” she said.

Tomlinson touched down at Brisbane Airport yesterday and is due to take to Riverstage from about 8pm tonight.
