Australian golden girl Margot Robbie has oozed old Hollywood charm at the London premiere of her new film, stepping out in a jaw-dropping plunging dress.

The 28-year-old star, who is on the campaign trail for Mary, Queen of Scots, dazzled in one of her most memorable looks to date, wearing a floor length polka-dot gown with a deep V neck and stunning rose details.

The Oscar nominated actor further stepped up the glamour by styling her hair in ‘60s pin-up curls and sporting a striking red lip, as she joined her co-star Saoirse Ronan for the preview of the historical drama at Leicester Square.

She also skipped out on wearing any accessories to let her outfit shine.

Robbie and Ronan appeared very close at the movie’s world premiere, hugging and laughing as they walked the red carpet side-by-side.

The pair were even seen holding hands as they posed for photographers.

It follows a week of edgy fashion choices for the I, Tonya actor, who has donned several different looks as she promotes her movie across America and Europe.

Robbie, originally from Queensland but now living in LA, plays Queen Elizabeth I in the period drama, which focuses on the events that led the English queen to order the execution of her rival, the Queen of Scots, Mary Stuart (Ronan).

It took nearly four hours every day to transform Robbie into Elizabeth I, including the placement of a red wig, prosthetics and white face paint.

“I could barely move my face because there was so much prosthetics. It’s glued-down plastic on your face,“ Robbie said in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

“The clothes were very restrictive, as they were at the time. It helped — I felt claustrophobic, I felt trapped.”

She added the experience shooting the movie made her feel “lonely”.

“It was very alienating. And I felt very lonely.”
