Kyle Sandilands asks Jackie O to be his baby’s godmother

Kyle Sandilands and fiancee Tegan Kynaston have surprised the radio DJ’s co-host with a very special request.

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson will officially be the godmother of Kyle Sandilands’ baby.

The shock jock and his fiancee Tegan Kynaston made the big announcement on Thursday.

The sweet off-air moment was shared on the radio stars’ Instagram, with the caption “Jackie, will you be Baby Otto’s godmother?”

The video started with Kyle and Jackie O walking to their KIIS FM studio as Tegan hid in the room.

As The Masked Singer judge stepped into the studio, she was surprised to see the room decorated with balloons which spelled out “Otto” – the name of the couple’s unborn son. A screen displayed a question for the radio host, “Will you be my godmother?”

“Oh my God!” the stunned KIIS FM presenter said.

“Oh, thank you! Oh, thank you!”

Kyle jokingly said, “You don’t even know yet.”

An emotional Jackie embraced the couple with a hug. She then broke down in tears as Tegan handed her a bouquet of flowers.

“You gotta ask. You can’t just make out, guys,” the shock jock added as the women were hugging.

“Would you do us the honour of becoming officially the godmother?”

The radio personality answered, “Yes I will.”

The parents-to-be presented Jackie a box of gifts, including a mug with a Friends reference that read: “The one where I become a godmother. Est. 2022.” One of the other gifts she received was a diamond ring with Otto’s initials in Morse code.

Kyle announced in February during The Kyle and Jackie O Showhe and his fiancee were expecting a baby.

That same month, the pair found out the gender of their baby during a lavish cruise on Sydney Harbour as two planes streaked coloured smoke overhead.

The expectant parents embraced and shared a kiss after the colour blue fell from the sky, confirming the baby is a boy.

The baby is due in August.
