JoJo Siwa makes red carpet debut with girlfriend Kylie Prew

Teen star JoJo Siwa has hit the red carpet for the first time with her new girlfriend, after coming out earlier this year.

JoJo Siwa has made her red carpet with her girlfriend, Kylie Prew, after coming out in January.

The loved-up duo – who began dating earlier this year – attended a screening for Siwa’s latest film, the Paramount+ original movie, The J Team.

It marked the first official public appearance for Siwa and Prew, both 18, who shared a sweet kiss for cameras.

Siwa stepped out wearing a multi-coloured onesie with her signature big hair bow, while Prew wore a blue J Team hoodie with a matching hair piece.

Siwa, who shot to fame in 2015 as a child on the series Dance Moms before embarking on a successful solo singing career, came out in January in an Instagram live video, a month after prompting speculation over her sexuality after posting a picture of herself wearing a shirt that read “Best. Gay. Cousin. Ever”.

The Boomerang singer, who has a net worth of $18 million, told Jimmy Fallon in February that her girlfriend, who was then unnamed, had encouraged her to share her sexuality with the world.

“I do have the most amazing, wonderful, perfect, most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world,” Siwa said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

“One day I was on FaceTime with my girlfriend … And I was like, ‘I kind of just want to post this picture on my (Instagram) Story’.

“She was super encouraging, she was like, ‘do it’ and I was like, ‘all right’ and I did it … (then I went) back to FaceTiming with her.”

The pair have since been open about their relationship, regularly posting pictures together on Instagram.

Renowned for wearing big, colourful bows in her hair, Siwa embarked on her first major concert tour, the D.R.E.A.M tour, in North America, the UK and Australia in 2019.

The Nickelodeon star has more than 12 million subscribers on YouTube, where she regularly shares video blogs with her diehard fans

Siwa was included on Time’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2020.
