Johnny Depp’s former fiancee Jennifer Grey says she no longer “recognises” him after his ongoing court battle against ex-wife Amber Heard.

Johnny Depp’s former fiancee Jennifer Grey says she no longer “recognises” him after his ongoing court battle against ex-wife Amber Heard.

Dirty Dancing actress Grey made the comments during an interview on US talk show The Tamron Hall Show this week. She and Depp were engaged for nine months during the late ’80s.

“I will say that I haven’t watched any of it,” she said, referring to Depp’s high-profile defamation trial against Heard.

“I don’t even know how to. I don’t even know how to get Court TV. I don’t even know where it would be. But from clips or things that I’ve come across, I don’t recognise the person.

“It’s nothing to do with anything that I’ve ever experienced, and it makes me sad,” she continued.

“I don’t understand what’s going on, and I just want everyone to be OK.”

It’s not the first time Grey has spoken out recently about her famous ex – she’s on the publicity trail at the moment promoting her memoir, and is fielding a lot of questions about her former flame.

Last month she told People that her relationship with Depp was “a f***ing bonfire”.

“It was literally like, ‘Are you f***ing kidding me? Are you f***ing kidding me? I’ve never seen a guy like this.’”

But in an excerpt from her new book, she also wrote of Depp’s paranoia and jealousy during the relationship as he travelled to and from their LA home for work.

“Johnny was commuting every week back and forth from Vancouver, but had begun more and more regularly to be getting into trouble – fights in bars, skirmishes with cops,” Grey wrote.

“He’d started missing his flights home to LA having overslept or, when he did come home, he’d be crazy jealous and paranoid about what I’d been up to while he was gone,” she said.

“I attributed his ill temper and unhappiness to him feeling miserable and powerless to get off [the TV series] 21 Jump Street.”

Depp’s defamation trial against his ex-wife has dominated headlines for weeks, as both sides took the stand to air disturbing details about their toxic marriage.
