Gruesome detail shared in Johnny Depp, Amber Heard defamation trial

Johnny Depp’s doctor has shared a disturbing detail about an vicious alleged blow-up as the star’s defamation trial against Amber Heard continues.

Horrifying claims made against Johnny Depp

A piece of Johnny Depp’s finger was found in the kitchen by his chef after he had a vicious row with ex-wife Amber Heard in Australia, his doctor has claimed.

Depp, 58, is suing Heard for defamation over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed she wrote alleging that she was a victim of domestic violence. In it, she did not name Depp.

In a videotaped deposition played in a Virginia courtroom on Monday, Depp’s private addiction doctor, David Kipper, said the star’s chef found the finger following the couple’s explosive argument, reports Fox News.

The incident allegedly occurred in Australia in 2015 while Depp was on location filming a movie for the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Heard has previously called the trip a “three-day hostage situation,” alleging Depp attacked her and tore apart the house in a drug-fuelled rage.

Heard is alleged by Depp to have thrown a vodka bottle at him, severing part of his finger. Heard has denied hurling a vodka bottle at Depp or causing the injury to his finger.

The doctor, who arrived after the fight, said Heard had no visible injuries.

Dr Kipper, who also treated Heard, said he never saw the couple physically abuse each other.

It’s just one of the shocking testimonies heard so far in the explosive defamation trial.

Heard physically abused Depp, bodyguard claims

During Monday’s proceedings, Depp’s current bodyguard Sean Bett claimed Heard repeatedly attacked the actor, and that he had documented some of his injuries – including a swollen cheekbone on one occasion and a scratched nose, forehead and cheek on another.

The security guard said the two fought constantly, and after one quarrel he warned her that this couldn’t continue.

He told the court that he said to Heard: “’You guys are either going to kill each other or be in jail.’ She said with tears, ‘But I love him and I’m not going to lose him.’”

Depp’s longtime bodyguard also testified that Heard’s friends and family were “taking advantage” of the actor during their relationship.

Mr Bett, who has worked exclusively for Depp the last eight years, said Heard’s friends lived rent-free at his Los Angeles properties and drove around in his Dodge Challenger.

“They were taking advantage of him and being extra nice to the hand that feeds them and that just progressed over a period of time,” said Mr Bett, who formerly worked for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Mr Bett first met Heard around 2012 and was initially very fond of her.

“She was very pleasant, very easy to get along with,” he said. “I liked her. I liked her a lot.”

Heard ‘didn’t take it well’ when asked to sign a prenup, claims nurse

The Aquaman actress wasn’t happy about signing a prenuptial agreement before the couple’s wedding, according to Depp’s addiction nurse.

“She didn’t take it well,” nurse Debbie Lloyd testified in a videotaped deposition played in court on Monday. Ms Lloyd said Depp, 58, told her of Heard’s reaction.

Heard, 35, often picked fights with Depp then wouldn’t let him leave, Ms Lloyd said.

“At times, she would almost try to instigate,” the nurse said. During one argument, she recalled Depp “going from room to room trying to remove himself from a situation, and [Heard] would just follow him … not giving him his space”.

Following the row in Australia resulting in Depp’s finger injury, the actor was reportedly told to stay away from his wife.

“Patient discussed feelings of anger and sadness about his relationship,” Ms Lloyd wrote in her notes. “Patient was encouraged to stay away from wife as the relationship is toxic.”

Depp’s surprisingly modest home on private island revealed

Depp’s home on his private Caribbean island has been shown to be a very modest residence, according to video shown to jurors on Monday.

Depp hunkered down at the property in 2014 to begin detox from narcotics, according to Ms Lloyd’s video deposition.

A brief video of the home was shown to jurors and featured a single open room with a metal frame bed positioned in between the bathroom and kitchen. It wasn’t clear if there were other more extravagant structures on the island.

The property is in contrast with Depp’s reputation as a profligate spender who allegedly blew $US30,000 ($A41,000) a month on wine and shelled out $US5 million ($A6.8 million) to blast writer Hunter Thompson’s ashes out of a cannon.

Johnny Depp was hanging out with Marilyn Manson

In her deposition, Ms Lloyd also expressed frustration that Depp was hanging out with rocker Marilyn Manson, according to notes.

“Do you have any understanding of what Depp was doing with Marilyn Manson?” a lawyer asked Lloyd.

“No, I do not,” replied Ms Lloyd.

Depp was supposed to be detoxing in 2015 while in Australia, where he was filming Pirates of the Caribbean. But the nurse expressed concern to Dr Kipper that the actor had been hanging out with Manson.

“Debbie is worried and somewhat exhausted,” Dr Kipper wrote in medical notes. The doctor later fired Depp as a patient because he was not complying with the treatment plan.

MS Lloyd also claimed that Depp gave her a jewellery box and a “fancy notepad” after she was assigned to help with his detox treatment.

She explained in her deposition that she had perceived the gifts as “thank yous”.
