JULIE Snook is a brave lady.
Flying in the face of danger on Monday night, the 29-year-old arrived at the Allan Border Medal in Sydney wearing white — and there was certainly no blazer in sight.
One week after that incident that saw the Channel Nine sports reporter berated by newsreader Amber Sherlock for daring to wear white, Snook proudly walked the blue carpet at the ceremony in a pale Carla Zampatti gown.
While onlookers gasped and waited for a disgruntled Sherlock to wrap up her afternoon newsreading duties at Nine and quickly Uber it to the event so she could give Snook another verbal warning about what colours she can and can’t wear, Snook was unfazed. Because, according to Snook, her dress is not white.
“It’s definitely not white,” she told theDaily Telegraph. “It’s more rose gold.”
It seems Snook has a keen eye for colour. In the leaked footage of Sherlock firing up about their matching white tops, Snook was quick to get all technical about hues then as well — pointing out her top was actually pale blue.
Either way, the reporter assured The Daily Telegraph there was no bad blood between the pair and denied tabloid stories about Sherlock’s behaviour in the workplace.
“We’ve been having a good laugh about it, we’re really good friends,” she said.
“I haven’t even seen those stories, but she’s great. We are great friends,” she added.
