Dozens of celebrities have taken to America’s polling stations to cast their vote for the next President of the United States.
With just hours to go until polling stations begin to close in some states (at about 10am AEDT), many Hollywood stars opted to cast their ballots early for either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump.
Many shared proof to their social media – and all were sporting the same accessory: the famed “I Voted” sticker.
A-list couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively registered their pick of the candidates ahead of the pack, casting their votes last Thursday.
“Getting an ‘I Voted’ sticker was more exciting than candy!” Lively joked in the caption of her Instagram post.
Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria, were also among the celebrities to get in ahead of election day.
“Vote with all of your (heart) and what you believe in,” Hilaria wrote on Instagram.
Beyonce, who endorsed Kamala Harris, giving a speech at the Vice President’s Houston rally in October, reminded her legion of fans to cast their ballot in a new music video, dressed as Pamela Anderson.
Taylor Swift, meanwhile, who has also already endorsed Harris, reminded her fans to vote in a post commemorating another leg of her Eras Tour.
“Thank you to everyone who came out to see us on our last 3 American shows!!” Swift wrote.
“And here’s a friendly but extremely important reminder that tomorrow is the US Election and your last chance to vote.”
There had been some speculation the singer would appear at Harris’ final rally; instead, she opted to watch her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce’s game in Kansas City.
Jake Gyllenhaal, Lizzo, Ariana Grande, Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts and Mark Ruffalo also got among the election action.
Reese Witherspoon shared several posts in the lead-up to election day, telling her social media followers she’d voted for Kamala Harris to, among other reasons, ensure she and her daughter had access to reproductive healthcare.
“This is a critical time in our shared history to vote for the candidate that represents the future we want to see,” the actor wrote.
“That’s why I voted for Kamala Harris for President. For my daughter and for the millions of hardworking American women who value our freedoms. I want to protect democracy at all costs. I love my country and no matter what happens in this election, I’m here to move our great nation forward in a unified way.”
Jennifer Aniston also cast her vote early, proudly sharing an “I Voted” sticker on Instagram in a bedroom selfie last week and issuing a plea to her millions of followers.
“Today not only did I vote for access to health care, for reproductive freedom, for equal rights, for safe schools, and for a fair economy, but also for SANITY and HUMAN DECENCY,” Aniston wrote.
“Please remember we don’t agree on everything, and that is the beauty of this country, but GOOD LORD aren’t you tired of this negativity towards each other? The intimidation and constant threats to those who do not think the same as the other?
“Let’s please end this era of fear, chaos and the attacks on our democracy – and vote for someone who will unite us and not continue to threaten to divide us.
“I very proudly voted for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
“We are so lucky we get to VOTE and this election is in our hands! We only have one week until Election Day so talk to your friends, your family, your neighbours and let’s find our way back to each other with respect, common cause, and LOVE.”
